Empowering Collaborative Research
The Office of Medical Student Research (OMSR) is a centralized platform designed to facilitate meaningful approaches to collaborative research between Medical Students, Physician/Scientists, and Researchers throughout Hofstra University, Northwell Health, and beyond. Under the direction of the Advisory Committee for Student Research, these efforts create impactful experiences that often become a catalyst for students’ choice of specialty in selecting residency programs.

Zucker School of Medicine recognizes the importance of encouraging students to actively explore varying research interests within a wide variety of disciplines over the summer after their first year of study. 80% of First-year medical students participate in summer research, culminating in 100% research participation by graduation.
