Applying for Accommodations

  • Submit requests at least four weeks before exam week for existing disabilities.
  • Submit as soon as possible for new or temporary disabilities.

  • Accommodations cannot be approved retroactively.
  • Assessments will not be postponed for processing requests.
  • Submit requests as early as possible.
  • The Office of Academic Success does not disclose student disabilities.

The Office of Academic Success is available to assist students through the process. Students are encouraged to begin planning between years 1 and 2 and schedule an appointment to discuss details.

Additional Details:

  • Documentation must be within three years per NBME requirements.
  • Funding for re-evaluation may be available for eligible students.
  • Students must:
    • Be currently receiving accommodations
    • Be working with OAS
    • Demonstrate financial need
  • Contact Office of Academic Success to schedule an appointment if eligible.
